This course is available to French speakers only.
Making your own knife
This will be an unforgettable day, an out-of-the-ordinary experience. You will enjoy using your Laguiole knife every day as it gradually acquires a patina through use.
During the workshop, you will craft your own Laguiole pocket knife from start to finish with the aid of an experienced professional knifemaker, who will be there to help you throughout the course.
Who’s it for?
Anyone who knows a bit about DIY and is fairly good with their hands: either a beginner or an improver wanting to learn more skills (bring your camera so you remember afterwards). Where minor children are concerned, the minimum age is 15 and they must be accompanied by an adult (and have written consent from both parents).
Make sure you wear suitable clothing for a workshop (smock, apron or overalls; avoid wearing shorts and open shoes). You won’t get dirty. Just a little dusty.
Bookings can be made for an individual or several people. If necessary, we will fill up the course with other participants. The course is full once four people have signed up.
Hours from 8.30 a.m. to 12 midday and from 2 p.m. to 5/5.45 p.m.
