Important advice about our Laguiole kits: these kits are aimed at people who are good with their hands. The parts are unfinished: all steps involved in the knifemaker’s work have to be carried out (reworking the parts, fitting, drilling, milling, assembly, fashioning etc.) The parts in the kits are guaranteed to be free of manufacturing defects. If a part turns out to be defective once it has been assembled: we will replace the unfinished part but we will not take the knife apart nor reassemble it.

    1/ These kits are intended for people who are good with their hands. The parts are unfinished: all steps involved in the knifemaker’s work have to be carried out (reworking the parts, fitting, drilling, milling, assembly, fashioning, etc.) The parts in the kits are guaranteed to be free of manufacturing defects. If a part turns out to be defective once it has been assembled: we will replace the unfinished part but we will not take the knife apart nor reassemble it. 

    2/ The blade with rough steel finish is fitted by one of our knifemakers. You don’t need to work on the blade. This means you will keep the rough steel look (you don’t need to align the edge with the blade open – between the bee and the spine of the blade – or rework the closed mechanism).
