Bees : bees & other motifs

The first Laguiole knives were made with a smooth forged bee (without chasing). The bee appeared around the 1870's at the same time as the use of other motifs allowing customisation (St Jacques shell, fleur de lys, ...). The bee quickly became the only motif on the spring.
