This Laguiole knife is the model that accompanied the Olympic Flame on board the Maxi Banque Populaire XI for a memorable adventure between Brest and the West Indies during the Relais des Océans of the Olympic Flame of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Bee forged with the spring. Hand-chiselled spring. Blade with stop (the cutting edge does not hit the bottom of the spring).

‘Le Relais des Océans’ (The Ocean Relay), a dream come true.
On 7 June, the Olympic Flame boarded the Maxi Banque Populaire XI bound for the West Indies for Le Relais des Océans. Before their departure, the crew members packed their luggage with products showcasing the expertise of Banques Populaires customers. "I was very surprised when I learned that I would be representing Banque Populaire Occitane as one of the “suppliers” for the crossing. So I set about making personalised knives, which I had the honour of handing over to the crew members in Brest. Athlete Marie-José Pérec, doctor Marine Lorphelin, actor and playwright Alexis Michalik, chef Hugo Roellinger, to name but a few: who would have thought that one day I would rub shoulders with such a line-up of celebrities! On this occasion, I felt all the passion of Brittany for sailing, embodied that day by skippers Armel Le Cléac'h and Sébastien Josse surrounded by a huge crowd: this is a journey I will never forget. A slice of life marked... with a knife.
