The Damascus steel of our blades is manufactured in our old forge in Laguiole. You can visit this forge all year round.
This knife comes in a collector's box with a personalised certificate bearing its photo, signed by the cutler, the blacksmith and Honoré Durand. A genuine identity document for your knife, attesting to its origin and the craftsmanship that went into making it.

The Damascus steel blade is :
- unique because the patterns of the steel layers are never identical.
- an emotion brought to the knife by the fact that it is made in a totally manual way
- Carbon steel: very good edge retention and easy to sharpen, but which gives little or no steel taste to food.
-Easy to maintain: you use it regularly, wipe the blade after each use. You use it occasionally: remember to grease the blade to avoid a loss of contrast between the different layers of steel (silicone type grease, white grease, etc. without acidity).

- Care of natural materials
- Delicate manual cleaning: Clean the blade with a damp sponge and dishwashing liquid, then wipe and store. The knife must not be soaked in water or put under the tap.
