Blade only (without corkscrew)
The Laguiole knife, blade only (without corkscrew) or 1-piece model, requires an average of 109 manufacturing operations. The aesthetics are refined with a regular general shape, a curve and light curves. This model was created in the 1830's by mixing a local knife called "capuchadou" and a knife of Spanish origin called "navaja".

Forged bee with spring. Hand-chiselled spring. Blade with stop (the cutting edge does not hit the bottom of the spring). Slightly curved handle for a better grip.
The porcelain handle is made from 75% waste from recycled porcelain deposits.
The porcelain reflects a luminous ivory colour embellished with bits of porcelain.
